Keep the Faith

Posted by Dale Z On December - 2 - 2008

The Bears suck, the Vikings just lost the Williams’ brothers, and we have a very soft schedule to end the season. Keep the faith, cheeseheads!

Bear-ly a Team
I can’t say this enough: The Bears suck. They really do. If you had any confusions on if that team was decent, the Sunday night game should have opened your eyes. They suuuuuck. Orton is bad, their receivers aren’t legit, and Forte can’t do it all. Not with THAT offensive line. The defense is decent but not good enough to overcome the other mediocre areas. Since when did Hester returning punts become a good thing for opposing teams? He runs side to side then backwards for a loss of three almost every other punt. As a receiver, the Packers showed he isn’t a threat.

Williams Brothers Grounded
I’ve been waiting for today’s news to break before I posted this. I had every other aspect of this article done Monday night but I had to wait to see if the NFL would suspend the Williams boys. They did! The Vikings will not win another game this season. Not one. We needed them to lose a couple, now they’ll lose every single one. Oh happy day! Time for Gus the actor to pull some magic out of his ass if they want a chance to win. Good luck with that. Hahaha!

Cheese Should Win with Ease
Let’s take a look at the final four games of the season – games we MUST WIN.

Texans (5-7): We’ll be facing them to see who the best 5-7 team in the NFL really is! The Packers are the better team and this team is a one trick pony(running game). If we can stop Slaton, we win easy. Easy, I tell ya! WIN!

Jaguars (4-8): What happened to the Jaguars? They used to be tough and gritty, now they’re soft and weak. All areas of the Packers are better, especially heart. If you seen the Monday Night Football game, then you know the Jaguars have given up. The Jaguars face a Packers team that’s on life support that is trying to get into the post season. Sorry, Jags, you stand no chance in hell. WIN!

Bears (6-6): I already stated above how much this team sucks. So if you already forgot that, then check out the highlights from week 11 when we stomped them 37-3. They might score more points this time but we should still win big again. WIN!

Lions (0-12): Odds are this game will be us needing a win for a playoff spot against the Lions needing a win to stop from going 0-16. They will be 0-15 when we face them and they will be playing with everything they have to not end the season with that embarrassing record. On the surface it kind of scares you, but it’s the Lions. They’re bad. This game is a WIN!

TIME FOR CHANGE

Better late than never, I guess.  While McCarthy is going to be under scrutiny for not doing this earlier, FROST HAS BEEN PUNTED!  No more Frost at punter.  I don’t care who the new guy is or if he’s worse, I will cheer him on like there’s no tomorrow!  Hooray, new guy!

Brandon Jackson is also going to be getting an expanded role, something I wrote about earlier this season and something me and Alex talked about almost every week.  This should have happened sooner, but this shows McCarthy is not completely insane.

FINAL STRETCH

I think we’ll finish 9-7 and yes, that is ugly. Yes, questions need to be answered and some heads should probably roll for this. Injuries were a big part of this nasty season and even THAT has to be addressed. Keep these guys healthy, trainers and strength & conditioning coach!

Our fate is no longer in just our hands. We have to win out and hope the Bears and Vikings lose a couple down the road. With the Vikings not having the Williams boys and the Bears playing without much talent, it’s possible. Get the antacids out.

I’m glad you waited until the suspensions fell to post this. I actually agree with most of this, I just hope the suspensions hold.

I agree that it is possible. But I am not going to get my hopes up. These guys have let me down too many times this season.

  3. Asshalo Said,

just heard about the williams brothers. that’s huge. Our chances of making the playoffs just sckyrocketed. The pack still need to win out though– which is a pretty big task considering they haven’t won more than 2 in a row all season.

  4. Paul Said,

The only hole I see in your report is that you claim that Minnesota will NOT WIN another game AND that Detroit will be 0-15 when they meet the Packers…well they meet this weekend so ONE has to win, unless Donavon McNab is the new quarterback.

  5. Asshalo Said,

Paul is right. Vikings pretty much have a gimmie against the vikes and in their last game against NYG. You know they won’t be starting anyone– especially since they’ll probably have first place in the NFC locked by then. WE NEED TO WIN OUT.

  6. Profizzle Said,

I cannot put into words how excited I am. Playoff Picture in my mind. The Vikings will lose 3 games, almost a 100% chance, they have no chance against: Arizona, Atlanta, and New York. If the Pack can beat Chicago and win 2 other games we will be in the playoffs easy. We just have to win with our cupcake schedule.
